The old way of doing change management is outdated. I have worked with change management methodologies since 2002. The frameworks have been very helpful in my large transformation projects where we have been through Mergers & Acquisitions, outsourcing, globalisation, office reorganisations etc. Where you have a longterm defined goal state that you will achieve.
However, this doesn´t work for digital transformations. I have been involved with several large clients and their innovation and digitalisation initiatives. You cannot manage digital change. You can only lead with example if you want to achieve a head start. There are several pitfalls with the old change management methodology. I have compiled them into a report, together with some ideas on how to move a whole organisation forward into the digital era.
